Robyn is an associate at Gill, Godlonton & Gerrans and has been with the firm since January 2019.
She holds an LLB degree from Rhodes University.
Robyn’s legal career started in 2015 when she joined Lowndes Dlamini Attorneys and later Falcon and
Hume Attorneys Inc as an article clerk. She was admitted as an Attorney with the High Court of South
Africa, Gauteng Division, Pretoria during 2017, after which she practiced for two years as a Junior
Associate with Falcon and Hume Attorneys Inc. Robyn has since the inception of her career worked
extensively in corporate and commercial law. She has focused on mergers and acquisitions and has
assisted various local and international clients, including but not limited to the conducting of
legal due diligences, the review and implementation of transactions and the acquisition and
maintenance of mineral rights pertinent to same.
Robyn has further assisted in competition law mostly relating to commercial transactions. She has
dealt with competition legislation in over 60 jurisdictions worldwide, where she co-ordinated and
assisted in the determination of merger notifications in each jurisdiction. She has also prepared
merger notification filings in a variety of African jurisdictions including Namibia, Tanzania,
Kenya, Botswana and South Africa as well as in terms of COMESA.
