Lynn Phiri
Associate
Lynn is an Associate at Gill, Godlonton and Gerrans Legal Practitioners. She joined the firm in August 2023. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Hons) degree from the University of Zimbabwe.
Lynn was admitted as a legal practitioner in September 2021 and thereafter commenced her career in practice as an intern and then junior associate at another leading law firm in Harare. She works in the commercial, litigation and labour departments at Gill, Godlonton and Gerrans. In the commercial department, Lynn has worked on several matters providing legal advice to corporate entities and investment advices for foreign entities.

- Foreign direct investments;
- Exchange control;
- Zimbabwe’s carbon credits framework; Digital currency issues;

Civil Litigation including:
- Debt recovery;
- Drafting court processes
A review of the carbon credit framework in Zimbabwe. This involved an opinion on the viability of carbon credit trading in Zimbabwe and an outline of the requirements to ensure regulatory compliance.
A review of the Digital token/currency framework in Zimbabwe. Providing advice on regulatory issues for implementation of digital token business in Zimbabwe by a foreign investor.
