Partner

Gugu is a Partner at Gill, Godlonton & Gerrans and specializes in mining law and commercial law.

He is also an experienced litigator with expertise in trial advocacy across both the civil and criminal branches of the law.

Gugu joined Gill, Godlonton & Gerrans in June 2017. He is a former senior research assistant to the Chief Justice of Zimbabwe in the Supreme Court and Constitutional Court.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Hons, from Midlands State University, where he graduated at the top of his class in 2015 and was the recipient of the Law Society Book Prize, the Cannan Dube Book Prize, the Eco-School Econet Award for Excellence, the Emmerson Mnangagwa Book Prize, and the MSU Book Prize. 

He also holds a Masters Degree from the University of Zimbabwe in Land and Natural Resources Law.
